“COMOS Mobile Worker” from Siemens uses UBIK

Siemens and Augmensys are deepening their collaboration in the field of mobile applications in an industrial context. In the future, the augmented reality solution UBIK will technically contribute to expand Siemens’ portfolio for process automation.

After many years of cooperation and many successful projects, the relationship between Siemens and Augmensys has now been further expanded as a logical step and a comprehensive partnership agreement has been concluded.

In the first step, Siemens will present the COMOS Mobile Worker, a new solution for AR applications that will also use UBIK technology. For customers, this will open up completely new possibilities in the areas of mobile maintenance, commissioning or remote access by experts, among others. Siemens will market and distribute the “COMOS Mobile Worker” worldwide. This means that Siemens customers will be able to benefit from a robust, operating system-independent mobile application that can be used standalone or fully integrated, without media discontinuity, and will also be able to use innovations such as augmented reality immediately.

We are looking forward to a successful partnership and are firmly convinced that our customers will benefit even more from the now combined know-how and that the market position of both companies will be strengthened as a result.
