15 years of Augmensys: Digitalising industrial processes since 2011

15 Jahre Augmensys. Auszeichnung durch WKO Kärnten. Auf dem Bild WKO Vertreter und CEO Augmensys

In the industry, there is a challenge that is as ever-present as complex industrial plants themselves: the right data is rarely where it is needed, and when it is, it is not in a format that is actually useful at the moment the work is being carried out. This is precisely where Augmensys began in 2011.

We founded Augmensys at Lakeside Park on Lake Wörthersee with a clear vision: to make exactly the right data and information available to industrial teams where they need it: directly in the field. Mobile, contextual, without detours.

From start-up to a global company

What began as a small team with a big idea has developed into an international company over the past 15 years. Today, we have five locations worldwide, an international team and clients from some of the world’s most demanding industries: oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and energy.

Our HQ has remained in Klagenfurt. It is the place from which we think strategically and grow. We have based our research and development in Linz, from where our products are constantly evolving.

The digitalisation of industrial processes is no longer a topic for the future, but a daily reality in our customers’ industrial plants. And that was precisely the vision.

Software solutions that grow right along with our customers

UBIK® is the technological foundation upon which our entire product range is built. From the very beginning, its core has been mobile data management: the right data, at the right time, in the right place, available to anyone who needs it, without detours or extra queries. This foundation has not changed.

What is constantly changing are our customers’ requirements. We respond to this with a growing product portfolio and the continuous optimisation of existing features.

What’s next

The technologies we use to realise our vision are evolving, and so are we. Artificial intelligence is currently fundamentally changing how industrial software can function. We are actively researching how to integrate AI into UBIK® to support industrial teams even better: faster, more precisely, and with greater context.

More on this soon.

Thank you

15 years is something to be proud of. It is the result of people who have supported an idea. As a team, as partners and as customers.

Special thanks go to the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce for honouring us on our anniversary. We are delighted that our journey, which began in Klagenfurt and has spread from here across the world, is also recognised and appreciated at a regional level.

Here’s to the next 15 years.
